Brand Details
Type: Product
Description: RethinkDB is an open-source, distributed, document-oriented database designed for building real-time web applications. Unlike traditional databases that require applications to periodically poll for updates, RethinkDB pushes updated query results to applications continuously, eliminating the need for polling and simplifying the development of real-time features. It stores data in JSON format, making it a NoSQL database. The database was originally created by a company of the same name, but the company ceased operations in 2016, open-sourcing the project. The Cloud Native Computing Foundation subsequently acquired the rights and contributed it to the Linux Foundation.
