Description: Pyrex is a brand name initially introduced by Corning Inc. in 1915 for clear, low-thermal-expansion borosilicate glass used for laboratory glassware and kitchenware. In 1998, Corning Inc. spun off its kitchenware division (including Pyrex) as Corning Consumer Products Company, later renamed Corelle Brands.
