Thanks to their help, I was able to transition to a new job that pays me more than double what my previous gave with excellent benefits. I'd say it never hurts to try, so if someone hits you up, just always respond.

Whatever you do, never lowball your salary expectations with recruiters. They want you to feel that you can’t get as much for your skills because for them it’s easier to place someone at lower salary.
