Description: SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is a software application developed by Microsoft. It's an integrated environment used for configuring, managing, and administering all components of SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, SQL Server on Azure VM, and Azure Synapse Analytics. It provides a user interface and tools (including rich script editors) that interact with SQL Server, simplifying database development, control, and support tasks for users of all skill levels. SSMS is used for a wide variety of tasks related to database and server management, including creating and modifying databases, adding and modifying database objects, testing database objects, implementing databases, executing queries, optimizing databases, managing backups and restores, and importing and exporting data. While SSMS can manage Analysis Services, Integration Services, and Reporting Services, creating and modifying solutions for these requires SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), a development environment based on Microsoft Visual Studio. SSMS is available for Windows operating systems but not currently for Mac or Linux. To download SSMS, you would need to search for "SQL Server Management Studio download" on the Microsoft website.
