It's primarily known for manufacturing fire, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), and security equipment for buildings. They also have a history in automotive parts, though that seems to be a smaller part of their business now. The company was formed in 2016 through a merger with Tyco International. As of September 30th, 2024, they employed approximately 94,000 people and had a revenue exceeding US$22.9 billion. Their product portfolio includes access control systems, intrusion detection, fire alarm and suppression systems, and various other building management technologies. They've been operating for nearly 140 years and claim their products are in 90% of the world's high-rises. In July 2024, they sold a portfolio of heating and ventilation units to Bosch.
