Description: ScyllaDB is a high-performance, distributed NoSQL database designed for low-latency and high-throughput workloads. It's a drop-in replacement for Apache Cassandra, offering significant performance improvements. ScyllaDB is written in C++ and utilizes the Seastar asynchronous programming framework, allowing it to achieve very high throughput (up to 2 million requests per second on a single machine, according to its developers) and low latency. It supports the same protocols as Cassandra (CQL) and the same file formats (SSTable), and also implements the Amazon DynamoDB API. Its architecture is designed to fully utilize modern cloud infrastructure and multi-core processors.
