Brand Details
Type: Product
Description: GitHub Codespaces provides cloud-based development environments. This means you can code, test, and debug your projects directly in the cloud without needing to set up a local development environment on your own computer. Codespaces uses Docker containers running on virtual machines, pre-configured with necessary tools and dependencies. You can access these environments through Visual Studio Code or a browser-based editor, accessible via a URL like github.dev/org/repo (replacing org/repo with your organization and repository name). GitHub offers a free tier with 60 hours of Codespaces usage per month, and paid plans are available for increased usage. Codespaces also supports port forwarding, allowing you to share locally hosted web applications with collaborators.

I've started programming, but, on my own computer, I recently used Replit, and, I realized, can these online IDEs actually run the code better/faster than my computer can? I mean I guess it runs on their servers..and, I have a little dual core 2.5ghz, is Replit faster?
